Adam Scott needs to play well in Memphis to keep season alive
3 years agoSitting at 123rd in the FedEx Cup Standings, Adam Scott needs to make a move if he wants to extend his season into the playoffs. While the motivation is certainly there, I have a hard time getting behind Scott given his recent form. The former Masters champion has been putting incredibly, gaining over two strokes putting in four consecutive starts. The issue is that despite elite putting, he still hasn't been able to sniff contention. If the putting regresses at all, the normal ball-striking just hasn't been there for Scott to lean on. There are certainly safer plays in Scott's range that have been hitting the ball far better.
