3 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Chris Paddack (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique. The move was retroactive to July 28. He's struggled this season, owning an uninspiring 5.13 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 90 strikeouts across 93 innings in 2021. It's unclear exactly how much time Paddack will miss, but the 25-year-old has a ton of upside, and fantasy managers should continue to stash him in all league formats. Right-hander Miguel Diaz was recalled from Triple-A El-Paso in a corresponding move. Diaz was mainly used out of the bullpen and owned a 3.38 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts over 29 1/3 innings in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
