Yankees Acquire Anthony Rizzo From Cubs
3 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has been traded to the New York Yankees in exchange for pitcher Alexander Vizcaino and outfielder Kevin Alcantara, per Jack Curry of the Yes Network. Vizcaino and Alcantara rank as two of the Yankees' top-15 prospects, though this is a major upgrade for New York at a position they've received little production this season. Rizzo has been solid for Chicago this year, as he has slashed .248/.346/.446 with 14 homers, 40 RBI, and 41 runs scored. The expected statistics suggest he's been a bit unlucky- and a move to the Bronx with the short, right-field porch should provide a slight boost to his power numbers in the second half.
