Gleyber Torres Stays Hot In Wednesday's Win
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Phillies. Torres put the Yankees on the board in the fourth inning, sending a ball 359 feet into the right-field seats at 101 MPH, his third round-tripper in four games. The 24-year-old is riding a four-game hitting streak, with each of the hits going for extra bases. Manager Aaron Boone mentioned some mechanical changes he thought would benefit Torres in the power department- and the young shortstop seems to have tweaked something with his approach, leading to an increased launch angle on each of his last four extra-base hits. The buy-low window on Torres seems to be closing fast.
