Yordan Alvarez Dealing With Hamstring Tightness
3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (hamstring) experienced hamstring tightness during Monday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Astros manager Dusty Baker told reporters that Alvarez suffered the injury while running out a double in the seventh inning. Alvarez wasn't removed from the game. He remained on the base paths in the seventh and the designated hitter spot didn't come up again in the following innings. Alvarez is slated to be re-evaluated on Tuesday and we should know more about the severity of the injury after that. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Alvarez went 2-for-3 in Monday's game, hitting his 17th home run of the year.
