Danny Duffy Likely To Be Traded
3 years agoAs long as he's healthy, executives think that Kansas City Royals left-hander Danny Duffy will likely be traded in the next few weeks. Duffy missed more than a month from May to June with a forearm strain, but he has since returned from the injured list to make four short starts and one relief appearance. However, the southpaw is still owed around $7 million of the $15.5 million he is due in the final year of his five-year contract. Duffy has also gained 10-and-5 rights, so he'll be allowed to block any potential deal. He's sporting a nice 2.53 ERA on the year and is from California, so he's believed to favor West Coast teams. The San Diego Padres are one team known to be looking at Duffy at this year's trade deadline. Duffy would gain a little more fantasy appeal if he's dealt to a contender like the Padres.
