Adam Eaton Signs Major League Deal With Angels
3 years agoFree-agent outfielder Adam Eaton signed a major league deal with the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, according to Sam Blum of The Athletic. Eaton was officially released by the White Sox on Monday after slashing .201/.298/.344 with five home runs, two steals, 28 RBI and 33 runs scored over 58 games. The move helps create some outfield depth for the Angels, who are dealing with the continued absences of Justin Upton and Mike Trout. Eaton should get a handful games in the starting lineup, but it's unlikely that he will have much value in fantasy. And any value that he might put up will all but disappear once Upton returns to action, which should happen within the next couple weeks. Unless he starts swinging an insanely hot bat right out of the break, fantasy managers should go ahead and leave him on the waiver wire.
