Kris Moutinho Suffers Third-Round TKO Stoppage
3 years agoStatistically, it was a rough night for debuting bantamweight Kris Moutinho on Saturday. Having to battle with Sean O'Malley, Moutinho absorbed an unimaginable 230 significant strikes (177 head strikes.) Moutinho did make it until late into the third round before the bout was stopped by Herb Dean. Moutinho was only able to land 70 of his own strikes, which is not bad in a debut against a top-tier fighter, but obviously it was much less than his opponent. Both fighters walked out with a hefty Fight of the Night bonus, which could be life-changing money for the debuting fighter.
