Ronald Acuna Jr. Exits Saturday With Right Knee Injury
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) exited Saturday's game with an apparent right knee injury while attempting to make a catch in right field, according to David O'Brien of The Athletic. There is no word yet on the exact injury or severity, other than it has to do with his right knee. Acuna had leapt in the air to try and catch a fly ball off the bat of Jazz Chisholm, and when he landed he appeared to jar his right knee before falling into the outfield wall and then laid on the ground. He was able to walk most of the way across the outfield grass towards the dugout, before he sat down on the field and required a cart to help him the rest of the way off the field. Managers should stay tuned for updates on his condition that should be coming out soon.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Picks Up Two Hits After Move to Triple-A
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) homered in his first minor-league rehab game earlier this week at the rookie-level Florida Complex League and was immediately moved to Triple-A Gwinnett, where he went 2-for-3 with a single and a double on Thursday in his second rehab game. Although he tore his left ACL on May 26 of 2024, it doesn't seem like he'll need many more rehab games before he rejoins the Braves' lineup. He started in right field on Thursday and is scheduled to play again for Gwinnett on Friday. After that, he could go on the road with the Stripers or move his rehab to Double-A Columbus. The 27-year-old is off to a good start on his rehab assignment, but fantasy managers may not get him back until closer to the end of May as the Braves look to be cautious with the former MVP. When Acuna returns, he'll be a must-start in fantasy immediately.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Moving Rehab To Triple-A
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) homered in his third plate appearance in his first minor-league rehab game in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday in his first game of any kind since May 26 of last year when he tore the ACL in his left knee. Acuna played six innings on Tuesday and will now play his next rehab game on Thursday for Triple-A Gwinnett. It's unclear how long it will be before the 27-year-old former MVP rejoins the Braves, but rehab assignments for position players can last a maximum of 20 days. Atlanta is taking a more cautious approach to Acuna's rehab than they did after his previous right ACL tear a few years ago since he dealt with soreness through the 2022 season after he returned. His numbers were down the rest of the year before he had a historical 2023 campaign. Acuna will be a difference-maker when he returns, likely in late May.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Homers In First Rehab Game Tuesday
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in his first minor-league rehab game in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday. Acuna Jr. played six full innings before being replaced defensively in the seventh inning, which was part of the plan for his first game. The 27-year-old is recovering from a torn ACL, and while the Braves will be glad to have him back, they likely will not rush him given his injury history. The Braves have been targeting a return for Acuna at some point in May. Fantasy managers will be eager to see him back in the big leagues, and his first rehab game was an encouraging one.

Ronald Acuna Jr. To See Three Plate Appearances In First Rehab Game
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) will likely get three plate appearances in his first minor-league rehab game on Tuesday night in the rookie-level Florida Complex League. It will allow him to most likely play four to five innings in right field, with the Braves treating it like it's his first spring training game. Although there is no official timetable for the former MVP to make his 2025 season debut, the Braves have been targeting a return for Acuna at some point in May. At the same time, they aren't going to rush the 27-year-old superstar back, as they want him to be ready to play every day in right field when he's eventually activated from the injured list. The most likely scenario is that we see Acuna make his return in late May, barring a setback on his rehab assignment. Acuna may not run as much in 2025 coming off a torn ACL, but he still has the skills to be a difference-maker in fantasy.
