3 years agoLos Angeles Angels left-hander Reid Detmers, who is the No. 57 overall prospect in baseball, struck out seven and allowed just one hitter to reach base on a walk in four innings for Double-A Rocket City on Wednesday. It was Detmers' second start all year where he didn't walk a batter as he lowered his ERA to 3.60. The former first-rounder in 2020 has fanned 91 hitters in his 50 innings pitched in the minors this year. The 22-year-old southpaw could have a really nice four-pitch mix with a deceiving fastball and a plus out pitch in his curveball. If Detmers keeps this up, he should move fairly quickly through the Angels system and has the potential to develop into a durable mid-rotation starter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
