St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday. He will take the place of Carlos Martinez (thumb) who has been placed on the 10-day injured list. Nootbaar has collected just four hits at the MLB level this season, but shouldn't be written off that fast. He's slashing .310/.426/.524 over 84 at-bats in Triple-A this season. He won't be worth rostering in basically any fantasy formats, but might have NL-only value if he can get it going at the plate.--Andy Webb
