Corey Oswalt Lands On Injured List
3 years agoThe New York Mets placed right-hander Corey Oswalt (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with right knee inflammation and recalled right-hander Robert Stock from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move. Oswalt suffered the injury in his first start of the season on Sunday against the New York Yankees. He had a 3.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 10/2 K/BB in three outings (one start) over just 10 1/3 innings pitched for the Mets this year. Stock is likely to take Oswalt's spot in the Mets depleted rotation for the time being and start against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. The right-hander allowed five earned runs while striking out three and walking six in four innings in a loss to the Chicago Cubs on June 16 in his only start of the season. Stock won't be a recommended fantasy streamer on Wednesday.
