Kyle Muller Will Return To Rotation After All-Star Break
3 years agoAtlanta Braves left-hander Kyle Muller will rejoin the team's starting rotation after the All-Star break. The Braves didn't need a fifth starter this week because of an off day in their schedule on Thursday. In his first four major league appearances (three starts), Muller has been impressive by allowing six earned runs on nine hits while striking out 20 and walking eight in 15 2/3 frames. He has a 3.17 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 377/163 K/BB in 358 innings over five minor league seasons, so there is some real potential for the 23-year-old, Atlanta's No. 5 prospect, to carve out a rotation spot for himself the rest of the way. His command will be worth watching -- he walked 5.5 hitters per nine innings in Double-A in 2019 -- but Muller is worth a flier in deep mixed and NL-only leagues.
