Trea Turner Jams Finger, Juan Soto Suffers From Cramp
3 years agoIt was a busy day for the Washington Nationals in their 15-6 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. Shortstop Trea Turner (finger) hit for his third career cycle on his 28th birthday, but he also jammed his left middle finger sliding into third base on his triple in the sixth inning to complete the cycle. Manager Dave Martinez said Turner is day-to-day. Outfielder Juan Soto (hamstring) left in the ninth inning after injuring his left hamstring during a swing, but it was just a cramp. Infielder Jordy Mercer also dealt with a quadriceps cramp. While none of the injuries look to be very serious, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Turner and Soto aren't in the lineup on Thursday for the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
