Kolten Wong Remains Out On Wednesday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs. It's his fourth straight missed game while dealing with a left calf issue, but Wong's injury isn't expected to land him on the injured list. There's a good chance that he'll be able to return to the lineup for the series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday night. Infielder Jace Peterson remains at the keystone and will hit sixth against Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta on Wednesday. Peterson is in the midst of a four-game hitting streak, but he doesn't represent a ton of daily upside with just two home runs, 10 RBI and three stolen bases in 88 plate appearances over the course of the 2021 season.
