Tyler Naquin Scratched From Lineup Monday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Tyler Naquin (wrist) was scratched from the starting lineup on Monday with right wrist soreness. Shogo Akiyama will bat fifth and play center field against Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Spencer Howard. Until we have more details on Naquin's injury, consider him day-to-day. Naquin has hit just .200 with a homer and five RBI in the last 14 days, so he might've been due for a breather anyway. Despite hitting fifth in a powerful Reds lineup, Akiyama doesn't have much DFS upside. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter is slashing just .224/.278/.269 with no home runs and five RBI in 72 plate appearances in 2021. In 91 career games, the Japanese product has yet to leave the yard.
