Jon Berti Goes Yard On Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins utility player Jon Berti had a strong game on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double. He ended up with a run scored and an RBI. His home run was a no-doubter the opposite way in the fifth inning, his fourth blast of the season. Berti was off to an awful start this season, but he's been getting consistent playing time as the team's starting third baseman and has brought his batting average up to .224 and his OPS to .674. He won't be a league winner, but when he's hitting well, he's a solid source of steals, runs, and should help in batting average as well.
