Gary Sanchez Stays Hot With Another Homer
4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez hit a three-run home run, his third long ball in five games, to help the team beat the Kansas City Royals by a score of 8-1 on Thursday afternoon. Sanchez has corrected a leg-kick issue in the last few weeks to turn himself around at the plate. The power-hitting backstop has eight homers and 18 RBI in his last 23 games, and his three-run shot on Thursday helped the Bombers to their seventh win in nine games. Sanchez finished the game 2-for-5 with two runs scored, three RBI and two strikeouts and is now slashing .240/.344/.503 on the season with 13 home runs, 27 runs scored and 29 RBI in 212 plate appearances. He's looking much more like the player that fantasy managers were expecting when they drafted him this spring.
