Derek Wolfe Won't Practice This Week
4 years agoBaltimore Ravens defensive end Derek Wolfe won't practice this week after recently dealing with a bout of pneumonia, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Wolfe also skipped voluntary workouts recently after signing a three-year, $12 million contract extension in March. In his first season with Baltimore after eight seasons with the Denver Broncos to begin his career, Wolfe recorded 51 tackles (six for loss), four QB hits, one fumble recovery and a career-low one sack in 14 games (eight starts) in 2020. The 31-year-old should be fine for training camp last week and will be looking to bounce back in the trenches in his second year with the Ravens. Wolfe should start alongside Calais Campbell on the interior, but he's not a realistic IDP target as more of a run-stopper than pass-rusher.
