Elvis Andrus Delivers Walk-Off Hit Over Royals
Oakland Athletics shortstop Elvis Andrus went 2-for-4 with the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth Friday against the Royals. The hit had to feel good for the veteran shortstop who has struggled in his first year in the Bay Area. Andrus is batting just .213 and is not getting on-base nor hitting for power as his OBP (.266) and slugging percentage (.274) are both near the bottom of the league for qualified hitters. The former Texas Ranger had his day as a must-start fantasy asset, but that is in the rear-view mirror now. Andrus is best left on waivers in fantasy.
