Braxton Garrett Goes Four Innings In His First Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Braxton Garrett tossed four innings in his first start of the season on Wednesday. In his four innings, he allowed two runs on five hits and three walks, striking out three. The former seventh overall pick tops out at about 92 mph on his fastball, so he needs to throw strikes to keep hitters off balance and set up for his breaking balls. He still projects as a decent mid-rotation starter, but he's not very fantasy relevant at this point.
