Max Fried Struggles Tuesday Against Nationals
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried struggled in his start on Tuesday against the Nationals, surrendering five runs on six hits and two walks over 3 2/3 innings of work. Despite the struggles, he did manage to record seven strikeouts against Washington, marking the second time in his last three starts that he struck out at least seven batters. He had put together a nice performance in the month of May, going 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 24 innings, but Tuesday's outing looked similar to his dismal April performance in which he went 0-1 with an 11.45 ERA in 11 innings of work. His next projected start against the Dodgers doesn't look like it will be a great one for fantasy, but his following start should be much better for managers when he takes on the Marlins.
