J.P. Feyereisen Appears To Have Joined Rays' Closer Committee
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher J.P. Feyereisen earned his third save since joining Tampa Bay on Monday afternoon, allowing one hit with one strikeout in a scoreless inning of work against the Yankees. In the week and a half that Feyereisen has been in Tampa Bay after being acquired in the deal that sent Willy Adames to Milwaukee, he now owns a 1.50 ERA with six strikeouts in six innings, and is 3-for-4 in save opportunities. Granted, this is the Tampa Bay bullpen we're talking about and it does seem like they'll likely have a committee of some sort between Feyereisen, Diego Castillo and Pete Fairbanks, but that being said managers should look to grab Feyereisen off the waiver-wire this week.
