Miles Mikolas Transferred To The 60-Day Injured List
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (elbow) was officially transferred to the 60-day injured list on Saturday. Mikolas is dealing with a calcification in his flexor tendon and will be re-evaluated in about a month. The earliest he's expected back is sometime in August, and that's far from a sure thing. With IL spots at a premium this season, Mikolas can essentially be dropped in all formats at this point. He's only thrown four innings this season since he started the year on the injured list as well. Reports say he is ultimately expected to pitch again this season, but he doesn't have the upside to be worth stashing in most formats.
