The Cincinnati Reds have placed starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder injury. Relief pitcher Cionel Perez was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Hoffman was forced to leave Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals in the second inning after experiencing soreness in his right shoulder. He walked a total of five batters in just 1 1/3 innings in the start. We don't know any specifics yet in terms of the severity of the injury. Prior to Wednesday's game, Hoffman had made nine starts on the year and had gone 3-3 with a 4.31 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
