Kent Emanuel Experiences Elbow Discomfort On Tuesday
3 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Kent Emanuel (elbow) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers after throwing only four pitches. According to Astros manager Dusty Baker, Emanuel was experiencing elbow discomfort. While talking to reporters after the game, Baker explained, "We couldn't take any chance of him doing serious injury to himself. He wasn't in pain. He just had some discomfort. He's being assessed by the doctors." Emanuel has had a nice season out of the pen for the Astros. He's made 10 appearances and has a 2.55 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP over 17.2 innings. He should be considered day-to-day.
