Michael Pineda Scratched From Tuesday's Start

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda (undisclosed) has been scratched from his scheduled start against the White Sox on Tuesday. Pineda is dealing with a non-pitching related health ailment- which the Twins should provide more of an update on at some point. The right-hander is reportedly being considered as the starter for Wednesday's game, so the issue doesn't appear to be a serious one. Unfortunately, it means that Pineda, who has pitched to a 2.79 ERA with a 39:10 strikeout-to-walk ratio, will miss out on a two-start week. Bailey Ober is slated to take the mound in Pineda's place for his big league debut. Ober pitched to a 2.34 ERA in 188 2/3 innings in the minors, striking out 231 batters while issuing just 24 walks.
