Jorge Polanco Stays Hot In Tuesday's Loss
4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the White Sox. Polanco turned on a Dylan Cease fastball in the second inning, pulling it into the right-field seats at an exit velocity of 106 MPH. He later singled, another ball that traveled 95 MPH or greater, as he continues to hit the ball hard lately. The 27-year-old has three straight multi-hit games- and an extra-base hit in each of those contests, including two long balls. Generally better against right-handed pitching in his career, Polanco actually owns a superior OPS versus southpaws in 2021. This could be great news for his value if he can maintain some of that success while lifting his performance against righties. At any rate, Polanco is seeing the ball well right now and is a savvy pickup in leagues where he was dropped.
