Albert Almora Jr. Exits Game After Collision With Outfield Wall
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Albert Almora Jr. exited Tuesday night's game after colliding hard with the outfield wall, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Almora was running towards the wall in center field as he tracked a deep fly ball, and he momentarily made the catch before it popped out of his glove when he collided with the wall face-first. He was able to leave the field under his own power, and he was replaced by Dominic Smith. The Mets have seen their bench depleted recently with injuries, so a transaction could be coming within the next day or two to give the team more outfield depth.
