Luis Garcia Strikes Out Seven In No-Decision
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Luis Garcia pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out seven batters compared to three walks. Despite the three walks, Garcia displayed some excellent control throughout his start, as he generated a superb 37 percent CSW largely on the back of 26 called strikes. The 24-year-old has surrendered six long balls already this season- including two on Monday night- though his 3.60 ERA and 35:11 strikeout-to-walk ratio cannot go unnoticed in fantasy landscapes. Garcia is primarily a three-pitch hurler, though he has five offerings in his arsenal, which perhaps makes him a bit less prone to implosions than other pitchers his age.
