Mike Foltynewicz Allows Four Runs In Loss
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Mike Foltynewicz continued his trend of inconsistent pitching during the club's 5-4 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Friday. The veteran right-hander allowed four runs on six hits and a walk over 6 2/3 innings. Foltynewicz showed solid control but his inconsistent command led to two home runs, including J.P. Crawford's first of the season. The Rangers hurler has now allowed 11 homers in just 40 innings this year. He's struggled mightily this season against left-handed batters so he should be avoided when pitching to lineups heavy with those types of hitters. If fantasy managers are looking for positives, Foltynewicz has a decent 36-9 K-BB ratio.
