Zach Plesac Goes Eight Scoreless Against Reds
4 years agoCleveland Indians starter Zach Plesac looked superb against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday in Cleveland during the club's 3-0 loss. Retiring the final 15 batters he faced in a row, Plesac only allowed three hits to go along with zero walks. Tyler Naquin and Kyle Farmer had early singles while Nick Castellanos hit the lone extra-base hit with a double in the fourth inning. Excluding his two starts against the White Sox, Plesac has now allowed only five earned runs in 26 1/3 innings. Yes, the two starts against the White Sox still count, but Plesac's overall numbers look far worse than what he has shown in five of his seven starts. Slated to face the Mariners in Seattle in his next outing, look for Plesac to continue to lower his ratios with another quality start.
