Randy Dobnak Sent To Triple-A
4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Randy Dobnak was sent down to Triple-A on Monday. Dobnak has struggled so far this year, pitching to a 8.16 ERA with a lower groundball rate than he had in each of the last two seasons. However, the Twins know that he's a better pitcher than the results have shown so far- and The Athletic's Aaron Gleeman speculates that a rotation spot could be opening up soon if Matt Shoemaker, who has a 7.83 ERA, continues to struggle. Dobnak owns a 3.41 ERA in 15 career starts for Minnesota and could be stretched out to a starter's workload at Triple-A St. Paul.
