Tommy La Stella Dealing With Hamstring Strain
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Tommy La Stella (hamstring) suffered multiple injuries in Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres. He jammed his hand on a diving play early in the game, but stayed in. Then, in the fifth inning, he limped off the field after aggravating his hamstring while scoring a run. He was taken out and replaced by Evan Longoria. After the game, Giants manager Gabe Kapler said, "I'm concerned about it. Obviously he didn't look good coming off the field." The Giants are already without Donovan Solano (calf) and it sounds like La Stella could be headed for a stint on the injured list as well. If that indeed ends up being the case, Mauricio Dubon and Wilmer Flores would both likely see a small uptick in playing time.
