Akil Baddoo On A 12-Game Homer Drought
4 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo has gone cold at the plate after his headline-grabbing start to the year. Over his last 12 games, he has just five hits and no home runs. His last home run came on April 13 against the Houston Astros. Baddoo is slashing .222/.242/.571 through 20 games on the year. He still boasts an impressive 17.1% barrel rate and a .547 xwOBAcon, both ranking in the top 10% of the league. But he's been held back by a whopping 43.9% strikeout rate and he has a minuscule 3% walk rate. He can be dropped in all shallow leagues at this time. In deeper leagues, he's a drop candidate as well if there's someone enticing waiting on waivers.
