C.J. McCollum Excels On Both Ends In Loss To Clippers
4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum was a factor on both ends of the court in a 113-112 loss to the Clippers on Tuesday night. McCollum poured in 28 points on one end and picked up two steals on the other end. The 29-year-old filled out his line with five rebounds, five assists, and three triples in 36 minutes. McCollum has been scoring the basketball fine in April, though he is in the midst of a shooting slump from downtown, having connected on just 20 of 64 attempts from beyond the arc over his last seven games. The potential return of Damian Lillard (hamstring) on Wednesday could actually be a good thing for McCollum's three-point shooting, as it might take some of the defensive pressure off of him.
