Byron Buxton Clubs Fifth Round-Tripper Of Season
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and four RBI in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Mariners. Buxton's home run was the farthest-hit ball in the game, as it traveled 428 feet at an exit velocity of 110.8 MPH. It wasn't the only damage he did in the game, or the series, as the 27-year-old put on a hitting clinic all weekend against the Mariners- going a combined 8-for-13 with four extra-base hits and five RBI in the series. Buxton should see a healthy boost to his RBI numbers if he continues to bat fourth or fifth in the Twins' lineup.
