Julian Marquez Has Second Submission Victory In A Row
4 years agoSwinging for the fences and looking for the knockout in the first round on Saturday, Julian Marquez (9-2) earned the victory over veteran Sam Alvey with a second-round submission. Through a total of 7:07 of action, Marquez was able to tally 61 significant strikes (62 total strikes), averaging eight significant strikes landed per minute. After getting rocked a bit by Alvey to end the first round, Marquez rattled Alvey in the second round, eventually taking his neck for the rear-naked choke. The Cuban Missile has been on fire in his last two bouts, earning victories in both. His level of difficulty in opponent will increase, but Marquez can still garner significant fantasy points for the foreseeable future.
