Dolphins Expect Improvement From Tua Tagovailoa
4 years agoMiami Dolphins star cornerback Byron Jones said that the team expects a big leap from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in his sophomore season after he disappointed in his rookie year in 2020. "His contributions to the team have been great so far, but we're looking for even something better this year. It's exciting. I can't wait to see him work his magic," Jones said. Tagovailoa started nine games after being taken fifth overall in the draft, completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. The rookie was hesitant to throw into tight windows and was benched twice in favor of veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is now in Washington. Despite the ups and downs, Miami remains invested in the young QB and will ride or die with him in 2021. The 23-year-old is still a fine dynasty/keeper asset, but he'll be a low-end QB2 in redraft leagues.
