Juan Soto The Hero In Walk-Off Win Tuesday
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto had his first Major League walk-off hit to beat the Atlanta Braves in the team's season opener on Tuesday by a score of 6-5. The Nats season was delayed with 10 players on the injured list due to MLB's COVID-19 protocols. It was Soto's only hit in five at-bats, but he hit the ball hard on two other occasions in the ballgame. The 22-year-old was a top-five fantasy pick for a reason, and he's off to a pretty good start to the 2021 season. Soto missed last year's Opening Day due to a positive COVID-19 test result, so his first career walk-off hit had even more meaning on Washington's first regular season game this year. Fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that Soto can stay healthy, and when he's in the lineup, he's a must-start every day.
