Jose Berrios, Relievers Lose No-Hitter In Eighth
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starter Jose Berrios threw six no-hit innings with 12 strikeouts on Saturday night but the bullpen allowed their first hit to the Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth inning. After the starter departed, Taylor Rogers threw a no-hit inning and struck out the side. Tyler Duffey took over in the eighth inning and struck out the first batter he faced in Jackie Bradley Jr. He then walked Lorenzo Cain and allowed a first-pitch single to Omar Narvaez to erase the no-no. Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes also had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning before he lost it to a solo home run by Byron Buxton.
