Alex Ovechkin Records Two Goals In Friday's Win
4 years agoWashington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin buried a pair of goals as his team picked up a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Friday night. In addition to scoring both Caps' goals in the contest, Ovechkin also registered a plus-two rating, two shots and four hits in 19:34 of ice time. The 35-year-old has now found the back of the net in five straight games (and six of his last seven) and checks in with 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists), 104 shots and 64 hits through 26 games. He'll get an opportunity to stay red-hot in a rematch with the Rangers on Saturday.
