Byron Buxton Belts First Home Run Of Spring
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's tie with the Red Sox. Buxton's third-inning home run off of Nathan Eovaldi was an absolute rocket- 111.4 MPH off the bat with a distance of 390 feet. The 27-year-old has had a bit of a slow start to his spring, though the Twins also seem to be managing his workload, as he's suited up in just five of their 12 Grapefruit League games so far. Fantasy managers shouldn't be worried, as Buxton's main concern has been his ability, or lack thereof, to stay on the field. The tools- expected slugging in the 93rd percentile and sprint speed in the 99th percentile in 2020, suggest huge breakout potential in 2021 if health can be on Buxton's side.
