Miles Mikolas Shut Down From Throwing
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (shoulder) has been shut down from throwing for at least seven days after continued discomfort in his throwing shoulder. He'll also undergo more testing so the team can determine what is causing the issue. Mikolas is also dealing with an elbow injury, but it seems secondary to the shoulder issue at this point. Mikolas won't be ready for Opening Day, but the team is hoping that he can be back on the mound soon after. For now, it seems like Mikolas and the Cardinals are being optimistic, but it looks like there is a wide range of outcomes with this injury. Fantasy managers are better off fading Mikolas off their draft boards until some good news about his shoulder comes out.
