Julio Teheran Impresses In Spring Debut
4 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Julio Teheran had a solid spring debut on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Teheran came on in relief in the game and pitched two innings, allowing no hits and no walks while striking out two. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch was extremely encouraged by Teheran's performance, calling his outing the "highlight of the day." The 30-year-old Teheran signed with the Tigers this offseason and is competing for a rotation spot with several others. Last year was a rough one for him as he went 0-4 with a 10.05 ERA and 1.76 WHIP over 10 games (nine starts) with the Los Angeles Angels.
