4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright pitched very well in his Grapefruit League start against the Houston Astros on Sunday. He tossed the first three innings, allowing one run on one hit while striking out five and not allowing a walk. Wainwright got up to 44 pitches in this one, 27 strikes. He showed last season that he still had plenty left in the tank, and while fantasy managers shouldn't expect quite this much swing-and-miss stuff from the veteran, he can certainly still contribute as a back of the rotation piece in mixed leagues.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
