4 years agoMaycee Barber (8-2) ran into a tough test for her return, dropping a unanimous decision to the surging Alexa Grasso on Saturday. Barber landed more significant strikes than Grasso (40 to 38) but was greatly out-struck overall (50 to 95). The surprising part of the contest was Grasso's drastically improved ground game. Barber did look good in the takedown game, though, landing three of her five attempted takedowns. This may have been a bit too much for Barber to handle while coming back from a major injury. With a bit of a step back in competition expected her next time out, look for Barber to have a drastically improved performance.--Matt Bricker
