Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cal Petersen will make his third consecutive start on Thursday against the Sharks. The 26-year-old carries a poor 1-4-1 record for the season and has taken four L's on the bounce, but his save percentage stands strong at .925 and his goals-against average isn't bad either at 2.56. Jonathan Quick, who is 2-2-2 for the year, has done much worse with .887 and 4.05, so the Kings are riding the hot hand. Drew Doughty (undisclosed), who left Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to San Jose, is OK for the game, which is a boost for Petersen and the Kings, but following the result in this week's first matchup, the Sharks have now won eight of the last 11 meetings between the two, so Petersen isn't in a good spot to improve his record.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
