The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed with shortstop Wilman Diaz and catcher Jesus Galiz on Friday, according to industry sources. Diaz is No. 3 on MLB Pipeline's international prospect list, while Galiz comes in at No. 8. Both players hail from Venezuela. Diaz is the highest-ranked teenager of this international class because of his present abilities and future upside at a premium position. He also has excellent bat speed at the plate and great plate discipline for his age. Galiz was previously linked to the Yankees and has quick feet, a strong arm and a high baseball IQ. The former shortstop has tremendous athleticism and has emerged as the top international catching prospect. Galiz has a compact swing at the plate and can drive the ball to all fields.--Keith Hernandez
