Bears Considering All Options At Quarterback
4 years agoChicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy are both coming back for another season in 2021, with chairman George McCaskey mandating that Pace and Nagy answer the quarterback question. "Everything is on the table right now," Pace said. Mitch Trubisky had his fifth-year option declined and is headed toward free agency. He was benched in favor of Nick Foles in Week 3, but returned in Week 12 and played better against some bad defenses down the stretch before struggling in the last two games. The Bears won't say if Trubisky will be back, but it's more likely that they'll move on from him after taking him second overall in the draft. Pace has gone 42-54 with two playoff appearances in his six seasons with the team. While nothing is set in stone, it seems unlikely that Trubisky or Foles will be the answer for the Bears in 2021.
